St. James’ Church is
celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, and fittingly, the
115-year-old house where the family of its first priest, James Pyke, lived,
will be on the tour, as will be the original 200-year old Whitlock House, whose
farmland was sold to become the Whitlock Golf Course.
It is the most important
annual fundraiser for the church with proceeds from the tour supporting the
ministries of the church and various charities such as: Le Pont/Bridging, La
Passerelle, NOVA Hudson, West Island Palliative Care as well as the
Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence and Mile End Mission.
